How Climate Works collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit our site or request HVAC and plumbing services in Ottawa and surrounding communities.

Information We Collect

Contact and quote forms

When you submit a contact or quote form on climateworks.ca, we collect the details you provide: name, email, phone number, region, requested service, and message. Submissions are sent to our administration platform (admin.climateworks.ca) so our team can respond.

Chat lead form

The on-site chat widget may display a lead form requesting your name, email, and phone number when you ask to be contacted by an advisor.

Usage and conversion data

Our conversions.js script sends conversion events (such as form submissions) to the admin API to measure site performance. These events do not include full message content beyond what is needed for tracking.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site may store your cookie consent choice in browser local storage under the key cw_cookie_consent. When you accept analytics cookies, custom-code.js may load Google Tag Manager or other analytics tools configured in the admin panel. Analytics scripts do not load until you consent.

Google Reviews

Our Reviews page displays public Google reviews using a public Google Place ID. Google may collect information under its own policies when you interact with the widget.

reCAPTCHA

Site forms may support Google reCAPTCHA v3 when enabled in site settings. At this time, reCAPTCHA is disabled in our configuration. If we enable it, Google may process limited technical data to detect spam.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

Respond to quote, service, and information requests
Schedule appointments and follow up on work
Improve the website and understand form performance (with consent where required)
Meet legal and regulatory obligations

Our current forms do not include a marketing opt-in checkbox. We do not use your form contact details for unsolicited promotional campaigns unless you provide separate consent later.
