What you’ll do

What you’ll do

• Manage the full tender process for commercial and institutional projects, including drawings, specifications, quantity takeoffs and pricing.
• Negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotes; identify scope gaps, risks and value-engineering opportunities.
• Manage multiple tenders and submit accurate bids on time; maintain and follow up on the bid pipeline.
• Find opportunities through tender platforms and industry networks, and build relationships with general contractors, developers and suppliers.
• Hand awarded projects over with full budgets, scope and assumptions.
• Support change-order pricing and review completed projects to improve estimates.

What you’ll bring

• Experience in mechanical contracting is ideal; estimating software and Excel proficiency are required.
• Knowledge of Ontario building codes, tender processes, labour productivity, material costs and construction margins.
• Organization, communication and negotiation skills. A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is an asset.
