Fume Hood Decontamination

Climate Works, working alongside an environmental consultant can assist and complete any task of decontaminating fume hoods and fume extraction systems in laboratories.  There are a number of reasons fume extraction systems are required to be cleaned such as:

• Guidelines or governing bodies require fume hoods be decontaminated to ensure safe operation of fume extraction systems;
• Regular maintenance of fume hoods and fume extraction system to ensure safe operation; and,
• Decommissioning or demolition of fume extraction systems.

These systems must be tested for various substances before and after cleaning in order to ensure they are cleaned using the proper methods and the cleaning has been completed properly.  It is best if you can provide information on what has been ran through the fume extraction system in order for the environmental consultant to test for these substances , post testing is completed to ensure the system is free and clear of any of these substances.  Climate Works has trained professionals to clean all types of these systems and guide you through the process of doing so.
